Tools I love
Good to know
No. I like to use whipped cream cheese because it melts fast and is easy to stir. If you would rather use a block of cream cheese, cut it into cubes before adding it to your slow cooker.
Once the dip is heated all the way through, turn your slow cooker to the warm setting and serve from there. Stirring occasionally will help to keep it evenly heated.
No. Pumpkin filling contains added sugar and spices that will change the flavor. Be sure to use 100% pumpkin puree. You can even use your slow cooker to make your own.

Notes
- Freshly shredded cheese often melts best, but I take the lazier route and use the packaged shredded cheese.
- To add a bit of smoky flavor, add ½ teaspoon smoked paprika to the recipe
- To dial up the heat, add ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper. You can also drizzle hot sauce on top of the finished dish.
- If you like a gooey cheese pull, top with mozzarella cheese instead of the ½ cup of shredded cheddar.
