Why you will love this recipe
I am not exaggerating when I say that these are in my air fryer multiple times every week. They take almost no time to assemble, and the taste is just outstanding. I serve them with meals, as snacks, and as part of appetizer spreads.
That doesn't even begin to cover the sheer volume of them that I just eat on my own. I am a sweet mini pepper junkie! I just can't get enough. Try them and see if you think I am exaggerating how good they are!
Why make this no-cut in the air fryer veggie?
- Simplicity. There is no cutting involved, minimal prep, and outstanding results.
- Flavor. Somehow, these sweet little peppers almost caramelize in the air fryer, intensifying their sweetness. I have had guests refer to them as candy - they are that sweet!
- Perfect for small batches - This is an ideal way to have a simple, better-for-you snack in no time.
- It is the perfect side for Slow Cooker Spicy Maple Meatballs.

Flavor variations for air fryer mini peppers
Garlic salt is my go-to seasoning for these air-fried beauties because I love the way it sets off the sweetness of the peppers. However, just like air fryer carrot chips, you really can get very creative. Here are a few suggestions
- Ranch seasoning
- Chili lime seasoning
- Truffle Salt
- Everything Bagel Seasoning (especially delicious with some homemade hummus)
- Italian seasoning and a drizzle of balsamic glaze (after cooking)
- Za'atar adds some Middle Eastern flair

How to store and reheat sweet peppers
Allow peppers to fully cool before storing. Store in an airtight container or bag in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. They are great served warm right after they are cooked, or cold right out of the refrigerator

Expert tips for the tastiest peppers.
- Do not bite into a pepper right out of the air fryer. They will be HOT.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer. Peppers should be in a single layer with a little space between them. Cook in batches.
- When possible, buy seedless peppers. I am seeing them in the market for longer periods than I used to. If you can't find seedless, seeded peppers are great too. I just eat around them (I am way too lazy to start cleaning each pepper).
- Use a light coating of oil. Too much oil will just weigh the peppers down.
- Peppers may puff up in the air fryer while they are cooking. They will flatten out during the cooling process after cooking.
Note
Each air fryer is a little different. The first time you make this dish, watch your peppers towards the end of cooking to ensure they don't burn.
