- 2 cups water
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2-4 cups fresh mint leaves washed and removed from stems
place 2-4 cups fresh mint leaves in to a greased slow cooker
use your hands or a muddler to mash up the leaves a bit
add 2 cups water and 2 cups granulated sugar to slow cooker and stir to combine
cook on high for 2-3 allowing the mint flavor to steep into the sugar water
turn off heat and cool mixture
strain mint syrup to remove leaves and store in an airtight container or bottle
Mint simple syrup will last about one month in an airtight jar in the refrigerator.
