- 1 lb ground chicken
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese plus more for topping
- 1 cup cottage cheese 4% milk fat works best
- 1 cup panko crumbs plus more for topping
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese plus more for topping
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
Place 1 lb ground chicken into a greased slow cooker and use a rubber spatula to break it apart
Add 2 cups marinara sauce 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup cottage cheese , 1 cup panko crumbs, ½ cup grated parmesan cheese, 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning, ,1 teaspoon garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon salt.
Stir well to fully combine. Be sure to make sure the chicken is well distributed throughout.
Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours
Optional: Top with additional cheese and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. Cover for an additional 15 minutes or so to allow the cheese to melt
Serve with crackers and enjoy!
To confirm that your chicken is fully cooked, insert a meat thermometer into the center-most point of the chicken mixture. When it reaches 165℉, it is safe to consume.
