Slow Cooker Warm Olive Appetizer

- 4 cups olives* I use kalamata, manzanilla and castelvetrano
- ½ cup olive oil extra virgin is my favorite here
- 6 garlic cloves raw, peeled
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- 2 sprigs fresh rosemary
- 1 orange zest or peel
add ½ cup olive oil to your slow cooker. brush it up the sides a bit to made for easier cleanup later on
add 4 cups olives* and 6 garlic cloves to oil and stir to fully coat
add1 orange zest or peel. This can be stirred in or left on top if you prefer to remove it later
place 1 sprig fresh thyme and 2 sprigs fresh rosemary on top of olive mixture.
cover and cook on low for 2-2½ hours.
Turn to warm and serve directly from slow cooker
*Olives can be pitted or with pits. I use pitted, but both are delicious!
