Chili
- 20 oz ground turkey
- 15 oz diced tomato I use canned
- 15 oz tomato sauce I use basic canned tomato sauce
- 10 oz frozen edamame shelled
- 4 oz can diced chilis
- ¼ cup chili seasoning (see recipe below) can use a premixed packet of chili seasoning if you prefer
- ½ small onion diced
- 1 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
Chili Seasoning
- ½ cup chili powder
- ¼ cup cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Place 20 oz ground turkey into a well-greased slow cooker. Use a rubber spatula to gently break apart. Do not overwork the turkey or it will get mushy
Add 15 oz diced tomato, 15 oz tomato sauce, 10 oz frozen edamame, 4 oz can diced chilis, ¼ cup chili seasoning (see recipe below), ½ small onion , and 1 tsp kosher or sea salt,

stir all ingredients to mix
If you prefer a spicier chili, you can add more of the chili seasoning mix.
Cook 6 - 8 hours on low or 3-4 hours on high.
Chili seasoning

- Chili seasoning instructions make more seasoning than you will need for this recipe. The following ingredients will fill an 8oz jar.
- Store unused seasoning in an airtight jar, container or bag for future use,
- If you would prefer, you can use a pre-made package of chili seasoning instead of mixing your own here.
- Some people prefer the consistency of turkey that is cooked before adding it to the chili. Turkey can be browned on the stovetop before adding it to your slow cooker.
- This recipe can be easily doubled! All cooking times remain the same.
