Slow Cooker Pizza Chicken

This easy crockpot pizza chicken recipe is a perfect any-night-of-the-week dish. Tender chicken smothered in pizza sauce, shredded cheese and your choice of pizza toppings.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts and 4 thighs Or, if you prefer all breasts or all thighs, those work too.
  • 24 oz pizza or marinara sauce about one cup per breast or half a cup per thigh
  • 2-3 cups shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese amount to your liking
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • pizza toppings ( pepperoni, mushrooms, etc)

Instructions

  • Spread a thick layer of sauce on bottom of slow cooker
  • Place 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts and 4 thighs on top of sauce
  • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon oregano and 1 teaspoon garlic powder over chicken pieces
  • Spread another thick layer of sauce on top of chicken
  • Top with 2-3 cups shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese
  • Place pizza toppings ( pepperoni, mushrooms, etc) on some or all of the chicken pieces
  • Cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours
