Slow Cooker BBQ Steak Bites & Potatoes

This steak and potatoes recipe is filled with tender, juicy steak bites and baby potatoes slow-cooked to perfection. The smoky, tangy BBQ sauce make this easy one pot meal perfect for everything from busy weeknights to rowdy game days!

Ingredients

BBQ Sauce

  • 3 cups ketchup
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • cup molasses
  • ¼ cup liquid smoke
  • 2 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Main Dish

  • 2 lbs stew meat
  • 2 lbs baby potatoes
  • broccoli florets optional

Instructions

  • To a greased slow cooker, add 3 cups ketchup 2 cups brown sugar, ½ cup apple cider vinegar, ⅓ cup molasses, ¼ cup liquid smoke, 2 tablespoon dijon mustard, 2 tablespoon garlic powder, 2 tablespoon worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon smoked paprika, 2 teaspoon salt, and½ teaspoon black pepper. Stir to fully combine
  • Add 2 lbs stew meat and 2 lbs baby potatoes to sauce and stir to fully coat each piece
  • Cover and cook on low heat for 8-10 hours or high heat for 4-5 hours
  • OPTIONAL: During the last 15-30 minutes of cooking, place a piece of foil or parchment on top of ingredients in slow cooker. Place cleaned uncooked broccoli florets on top and cover slow cooker
  • When broccoli reaches your desired level, remove from slow cooker and serve alongside steak bites and potatoes.

Notes

This is a saucy recipe, you will have lots of delicious sauce to add over rice or riced cauliflower
This dish is ready to serve when the potatoes have cooked all the way through.  If you find that your meat is a bit tough, it may need to cook longer.
