Lazy Hot Spiked Apple Cider Recipe

This warm, sweet and seasonally spiced drink is perfect for everything from an evening around the fire pit to a sitting in your pj’s watching it snow to a holiday dinner with friends and family.

Ingredients

  • ½ gallon apple cider
  • 2+ large cinnamon sticks you may want extra cinnamon sticks to use as garnish
  • 1+ orange, sliced - peel on you may want to slice a second orange to use as garnish
  • 1 apple, cut into wedges
  • 4+ anise stars You may want extras to use as garnish
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • cups gold tequila
  • 1 cup triple sec

Instructions

  • add½ gallon apple cider, 1 apple, cut into wedges, 1+ orange, sliced - peel on,2+ large cinnamon sticks 4+ anise stars and 1 teaspoon whole cloves to slow cooker
  • cover and place on low for two hours until hot, then turn down to warm
  • Just before serving, add 1½ cups gold tequila and1 cup triple sec
  • use extra cinnamon stick, anise and or halved orange slices to garnish serving cups
  • use ladle to fill cups with warm, spiked cider
