Lazy Turkey Edamame Chili
All the familiar flavor of chili made with ground turkey and edamame.

Chili
- 2.5 lbs browned ground turkey about 3 lbs before browning
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 30 oz diced tomato I use canned
- 30 oz tomato sauce I use basic canned tomato sauce
- 16 oz frozen edamame shelled
- ⅓ cup chili seasoning (see recipe below) can use a premixed packed of chili seasoning her if you prefer
- ½ cup red wine not sweet
- 2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
Chili Seasoning
- ½ cup chili powder
- ¼ cup cumin
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Chili
Spray slow cooker with non-stick spray
place browned, ground turkey in slow cooker vessel
2.5 lbs browned ground turkey
add green pepper, diced tomato (along with all the juice from the cans), tomato sauce, frozen edamame, chili seasoning, wine and salt.
1 green pepper, chopped, 30 oz diced tomato, 30 oz tomato sauce, 16 oz frozen edamame, ⅓ cup chili seasoning (see recipe below), ½ cup red wine, 2 teaspoon kosher or sea salt
stir all ingredients to mix
If you prefer a spicier chili, you can add more of the chili seasoning mix.
cook 6 - 8 hours on low or 3-4 hours on high.

Chili seasoning
add all ingredients to a bowl and stir to combine
½ cup chili powder, ¼ cup cumin, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Chili seasoning instructions makes more seasoning than you will need for this recipe. The following ingredients will fill an 8oz jar.
