- 7 large onions diced
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¾ cup pure maple syrup
- ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 1½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
start by caramelizing and dicing onions. You can caramelize on a cooktop or in your slow cooker.* I prefer to use my slow cooker and let it cook on its own overnight.
7 large onions, ¼ cup olive oil
add remaining ingredients to slow cooker and cook on low with the lid off for 2-3 hours until onions and liquid become thick.
¾ cup pure maple syrup, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, ¼ cup balsamic vinegar, 1½ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
use an immersion blender to fully blend all ingredients
