  • 7 large onions diced
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¾ cup pure maple syrup
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • start by caramelizing and dicing onions. You can caramelize on a cooktop or in your slow cooker.* I prefer to use my slow cooker and let it cook on its own overnight.
    7 large onions, ¼ cup olive oil
  • add remaining ingredients to slow cooker and cook on low with the lid off for 2-3 hours until onions and liquid become thick.
    ¾ cup pure maple syrup, ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, ¼ cup balsamic vinegar, 1½ teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • use an immersion blender to fully blend all ingredients
  • Allow to cool and enjoy
